Apple Cheddar Crisp

INGREDIENTS

20 oz. apples, canned, pie pack and drained
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 oz. butter
3/4 cup Wisconsin Medium Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 3 oz.)

INSTRUCTIONS

    Combine apples, lemon juice and sugar.

    Arrange in buttered 12"x20"x4" pan. Combine dry ingredients with butter until mixture is crumbly. Lightly mix in cheddar cheese. Bake in a conventional oven at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or grated cheddar cheese.

Variation: Substitute cherries or peaches for apples.
