INGREDIENTS

6 cups sliced apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter
1 cup Wisconsin Cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)

INSTRUCTIONS

    Arrange apples in a 10"x6"x2" baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, then pour the lemon juice and corn syrup over apples. Combine the sugar, flour and salt. Cut in butter, until the mixture has the consistency of cornmeal. Gently mix in the cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, or until apples are tender.
