Philly Cheese Steak Pizza

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. 8 oz. sliced onions
6 tbsp. olive oil
2 lb. sliced white mushrooms
4 uncooked pizza shells, 12"
1 lb. 8 oz. thinly sliced deli mozzarella cheese
1 lb. thinly sliced deli roast beef, cut in 1” squares
Pickled peppers (mild or hot), seeded and chopped, as needed (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

    Sauté onion in 3 tbsp. olive oil until lightly browned, about 5 minutes; reserve.

    Toss mushroom slices in remaining 3 tbsp. olive oil; reserve.

    Per Pizza: Spread 1 cup sautéed onion over bottom of pizza shell. Cover with 6 oz. of sliced cheese, 4 oz. beef and 8 oz. mushroom slices. Bake at 450ºF for about 12 minutes until crust browns and cheese melts. Sprinkle with chopped pepper. Cut into 8 slices.
