Classic Corn Bread

INGREDIENTS

2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
1-3/4 cups cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. melted butter

INSTRUCTIONS

    Whisk eggs and buttermilk.
  2. 2
    Whisk dry ingredients in medium bowl.
  3. 3
    Add liquid and butter to dry ingredients; whisk just until blended.
  4. 4
    Pour into greased 9-in. square pan. Bake at 450F for 20-25 min. or until lightly browned.

notes

Tip:  Add 1/4 cup frozen or canned corn and a dash of cayenne pepper.
