USA Rice Federation

Eighty five percent of the rice consumed in the U.S. is grown by America’s rice farmers who produce about 20 billion pounds each year in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas to the highest quality standards. Rice types and varieties include short, medium and long grain rice, as well as organic and specialty rices including jasmine, basmati, arborio, red aromatic and black japonica, among others. Look for the U.S. rice industry’s “Grown in the USA” logo on packages of 100% domestically grown rice. For more information and recipes, visit
