Florida citrus fruit is harvested from close to 569,000 sprawling acres, carefully handpicked from lush groves, and then washed, graded and packaged to produce more than 80% of the U.S. citrus supply. Thanks to their state’s sunny, subtropical climate and sandy soil, Florida’s citrus growers are known for producing the world’s juiciest and most flavorful oranges. Each year, about 80% of Florida’s orange crop is used to produce healthy, 100% orange juice.
