Cookwork is a new Foodservice internet startup company, focused on servicing the needs of Professional Chefs. We aim to help Chefs excel at their job, by providing support, information, career opportunities, peer networking, products and services.

Originating in Portugal, Cookwork is currently present across North America (Chicago), as well as Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Beta version release: July 2009. Official Launch date: January 2010.

About the partners:

Mário Braz de Matos is a user centric marketer, who developed his marketing career in Unilever and Nokia across Europe, South America, Middle East & Africa, having then moved on to Asia. His passion for food is only rivaled for his passion for understanding cultures and the drivers of human behavior, namely purchasing behavior.

Francisco Loureiro is a driven and entrepreneurial IT Engineer. With a background as an IT consultant his portuguese upbringing has strongly influenced his relationship to food. Client centricity and simplicity, are key traits of his professional achievements.

Michal Schlierer is a seasoned Chef. German by passport, he gained his culinary education in New York and went on to his "Chef Career", which took him across New York, London and Amsterdam. Besides being a professional Chef he enjoys being a keen "start up" farmer in his new place.
